why does everyone feel like it’s only them that doesn’t have their life figured out? nobody does. except, like, beyonce and obama. and my grandma. you’re gonna have days when you feel helpless and empty. you’re gonna feel clueless and, unless you’re extremely lucky, you’re going to struggle monetarily. we’re in a weird point in time where lots of people have degrees and no jobs to align with those degrees. but that’s not necessarily all bad. yeah it sucks that you can’t get the job you want, but if you can get a job at all right now you’re doing something right. we all want better and we all want more, and maybe we’ll get it someday. but instead of pinning all your happiness on the success that you might, maybe, possibly have in your future, it’s probably better that you just focus on the good stuff in your life right now. don’t be bitter. don’t feel hopeless. don’t feel dumb. we’re all confused and conflicted. we’re all flying blind, it’s just that some of us are better at pretending we can see.
