The service was beautiful. So many people packed in such a small room. Crowding into the aisles, along the walls, and out into the hall spilling outside in front of the funeral home. I have been there for a few funerals, but I’ve never seen it packed like that before. You affected lives, so many loved you. You would have been so happy with the service. Everyone wore band shirts in honor of you, played your favorite songs, shared stories, and compiled a slideshow of pictures/videos of you. You always said you wanted everyone to throw you a giant party once you passed, and you got that.
It’s hard not being able to talk to the one person who could help me get past this. But I know what you would want from us, and it would be to move on and see that you lived a good life and you were so loved.
All my love,
Me.
